Who Is essy?
Hey, I’m Essynce—better known as Essy! I’m a content creator, community builder, and the visionary behind Sisters in the Triangle, an event planning business that brings minority women together in the Raleigh-Durham area. My journey hasn’t been a straight path—it’s been full of growth, self-discovery, and a passion for creating spaces where women feel seen, valued, and connected.
I moved to Raleigh in 2024, and like many, I struggled with homesickness, loneliness, and finding my place in a new city. That experience led me to start documenting my journey on social media, sharing the ups and downs of navigating a new city, and ultimately, building a community that other women could lean on. What started as a personal outlet has grown into something bigger than me—a movement where women come together, form lifelong friendships, and explore all that RDU has to offer.
Beyond community-building, I love embracing my fun and girly side—I’m all about dressing up, trying new restaurants, finding cute photo spots, and curating unforgettable experiences. Whether I’m sharing the best things to do in Raleigh, collaborating with local businesses, or planning events for Sisters in the Triangle, I bring authenticity, confidence, and connection to everything I do.

My vision is to continue growing Sisters in the Triangle into a leading platform for women in the area, where they can find not only events but a true sense of belonging. I also want to expand my personal brand—becoming the go-to influencer in Raleigh-Durham, partnering with businesses, and showcasing everything this city has to offer.
