My First Time at a Black-Owned Nail Salon: Trendy Nailz Did NOT Disappoint!

Listen… I finally visited my first Black-owned nail salon, and baby, the experience was EVERYTHING. I pulled up to Trendy Nailz in Garner, NC, and from the moment I walked in, it felt like home.

A Family Reunion Vibe

As soon as I stepped inside, I ran into Nyzera from Sisters in the Triangle—and then I found out the owner, Sunny, is also a part of SIT! It was literally like one big family reunion, and I loved that. Nothing beats being in a space where you feel seen, welcomed, and taken care of.

The Service? 10/10!

Sunny did my nails, and let me tell you… she ATE. The attention to detail, the conversation, the whole vibe—chef’s kiss. I got both my nails and toes done, and everything turned out so good. It’s something about getting pampered in a space that feels comfortable and safe that just hits different.

A Little Shot for the Road

Oh, and did I mention… I even got a little shot while getting my nails done? 👀 One thing about Trendy Nailz, they know how to make you feel at home! The whole experience was top-tier, and I already know I’ll be back.
